Kush Patel went out of his way to help plan a little birthday celebration for the patient's 77th birthday. When I went in to assess the patient later that evening, he had tears of joy. The patient said, "No one has ever thrown a birthday party for me and I am so happy that my nurse and all other employees here were thoughtful to me." The patient ended up passing away a week later, but Kush made sure that he followed the patient through the entire stay and made sure the patient's needs were met!
