Kyla Morwood, RN, BSN

My daughter was recently a patient at CHLA. She had open-heart surgery for tetralogy of Fallot. We were in the ICU for a couple of days then downgraded to the acute cardiac unit. One of our nurses, Kyla Morwood, was such a phenomenal nurse. She anticipated my child’s every need. She was on top of her pain control and feeding. She had an amazing bedside manner. She also did a great job of helping a very anxious mom and dad feel calm, comfortable, and confident in the care she was giving our daughter. I cannot say enough positive things about our experience at CHLA. We did have to have a shared room for a couple of days which was tough. But even still with Kyla as our nurse, it made a huge difference for us. I hope you’ll recognize her amazing talent. Because having a phenomenal nurse like her can make or break the entire hospital stay. We were very lucky to have her.
