I was in a delicate place after cancer surgery for partial tongue removal, lymph node removal, a neck drain, and a thigh wound where the skin had been taken to suture to the tongue. A lot of pain management was needed – sometimes my blood pressure climbed to 180! Kyle was always patient, courteous, and never “seemed” hurried or short with me, even when my care took extra time. (I know he had several other patients to care for, just like me.) When I was ready for discharge, he reviewed all my meds, my discharge plans, and at my request made a special pain pills management schedule that would allow me to take the appropriate meds at the right times, and still get maximum rest. He put together a “go” bag for my use when I got home, so I would have a few of everything needed before I needed to get to a drug store. Kyle is a true DAISY Nurse.
