Kyle’s clinical skill and especially her/his compassionate care exemplify the kind of nurse that our patients, their families, and our staff recognize as an outstanding role model. Please describe a specific situation or story that clearly demonstrates how this nurse made a meaningful difference in your care. The 4th floor has multiple risk to harm patients who pose a threat to our teammates. Kyle was not only aware of his teammates safety, but he went to his teammates aid when they were at risk. Kyle had himself been injured by a risk to harm patient but on two subsequent occasions he put himself between a violent patient and his teammates. Kyle has over five years of nursing experience and consistently delivers excellent med/surg care. What is noteworthy is his sacrifice for the well-being of his teammates on a daily basis. His teammates are safe and our patients have excellent care.
