Kylie Alder, RN

What was supposed to be a short hospital admission for testing turned into a week-long stay for my 7-month-old daughter. My daughter was diagnosed with a rare and terminal condition. Kylie was our nurse during the beginning of that stay, and she provided an immense sense of comfort when we were overwhelmed with fear and uncertainty. She arranged contact with a Child Life Specialist so we could get handprints and footprints of my daughter, coordinated a visit from a service dog after hearing how much we missed our own dogs, and supported me emotionally as I processed the news that my daughter would not survive.

As the daughter of an ER Nurse, I have incredibly high standards for nursing care, and Kylie far exceeded them. Her dedication, compassion, and extraordinary efforts made a world of difference during this unimaginable time. If I could give her every award in the world, I would. I will forever be grateful for the care and kindness she provided to my family and my daughter.
