Kylie Anne Lapid, BSN

I am a 37-year-old woman who is living with lupus SLE. I’m here at Centennial Hills because I’m on my 9th surgery due to my lupus (my second on my left hip). I suffer from chronic pain already, plus I’m dealing with my hip pain from my surgery.

Kylie has been more than understanding, not only with my lupus and surgery pain, but also with my other conditions that I suffer from due to my lupus. I had some difficulties because my medications were messed up, which caused a chain reaction with my other health issues. She was very compassionate and a great patient advocate when it came to helping me get what I needed to get back on track. She also would help to comfort me, and I can tell she’s truly authentic and cares for her patients. Kylie has a beautiful soul; she's a great human being, beautiful inside and out.

I personally believe she’s the epitome of what a nurse should be. She takes her time and care. She’s also very wonderful with placing IVs. I’ve had many experiences with nurses and IVs, and Kylie knows what she’s doing. She also takes her time when administering my medications. My veins are very small and shallow, and the whole process can be painful and unpleasant. Again, she’s patient and caring. There’s so much more I can say, but no more room here. I worked Kylie to the bone, and not once did she complain. She always told me not to apologize.
