I would like to nominate this nurse for the DAISY Award in recognition of the extraordinary compassion, connection, and care she has shown our daughter during our hospital stay. Her presence has made a meaningful and lasting difference for our daughter and for our entire family.

During a time when our daughter had been understandably down and struggling emotionally with being in the hospital, this nurse took the time to truly connect with her. She went far beyond providing excellent nursing care - she brought joy, comfort, and a sense of normalcy back into her days. This nurse thoughtfully took our daughter outside to the garden and to the library to see the birds, creating moments of happiness and peace that she so deeply needed.

Her kindness and creativity shined through in the way she engaged with our daughter. She patiently taught her how to knit bracelets for her stuffed animals, turning a simple activity into something meaningful and empowering. Our daughter was so touched by their bond that she painted a picture especially for this nurse - a reflection of the genuine connection and trust she built with her.

This nurse consistently showed warmth, empathy, and attentiveness, always making our daughter feel seen, valued, and cared for as a person, not just a patient. Her calm and gentle approach brought light into what has been a very difficult chapter for our family. She worked seamlessly within the care team while prioritizing our daughter’s emotional well-being alongside her physical care.

She is truly an exceptional nurse and a wonderful role model for the nursing profession. Her compassion, dedication, and ability to create meaningful connections embody everything the DAISY Award represents. We are deeply grateful for the love and care she has shown our daughter, and she is incredibly deserving of this recognition.
