Kyra was an exceptional and valued member of our care team.
I would like to nominate nurse Kyra for her exceptional dedication and teamwork. She truly went above and beyond for both our team and the patient.
During a particularly challenging situation, our patient with AMS spiked a fever, and we decided to perform an LP at bedside. She immediately stepped in to support us. Helped us to locate the kit and needed equipment and meds, and anticipated our needs throughout the procedure. When we needed to hold the anxiolytics, she was there right away, assisting with medication, administering efficiently and safely.
Her calm, professional demeanor helped ease the patient’s anxiety and contributed to a positive experience for everyone involved.
Kyra was covering for a nurse who was on lunch break at that time. It was a pleasure to work with her.
***
Kyra was busy managing her patients when our neurology team approached her to see if she could assist with an LP (the patient’s RN was having lunch). Despite the patient not being under her care, she politely agreed to do so without hesitation. She was involved with this patient as much as our team was. Throughout the procedure, she was smiling, compassionate, and consoling the patient. Our procedure couldn’t have been performed without her help, compassion, positive attitude, and professional demeanor. Kyra was an exceptional and valued member of our care team. It would be a pleasure to work with this RN again.
