Kyrie is so attentive. The amount of effort she takes to make sure that my father is comfortable really goes above the call of duty. She is also kind to us, she has taken the time to connect with us, and really explain what, why, and how she is doing things. We have never felt that we did not understand what was happening when she was around. She also takes the extra second to explain to my father what she is doing to him also, even though he can’t communicate, she seems to make him feel heard. She has taken the time to get to know us as well and always refers to us by name. Which may seem like a small thing, but it is the small things that Kyrie does that make her care extraordinary. She proves that she cares. Her knowledge is also superb! Watching her answer questions for fellow coworkers who are studying for their exams, it is clear she isn’t only a proficient caregiver, but truly is passionate about her field. We have spent a good deal of time in the ER, ICU, and hospitals in general, the last few weeks, and this is something that we have seen from watching others, which we know can’t be faked. She has made this negative experience not feel as scary. She provides a warm laugh and a smile even when she's extra busy. Not a single time has she left the room without asking how she could help us, in addition to my father. She constantly reminds us that there are resources available to us, too. Kyrie is one of the few who set the gold standard of care and compassion. It shocks me to my core and gives me true hope for this world. I am very grateful for her presence.
