The family of a patient called to comment on what a fantastic job Moon did not only with the patient but in the care of their family.
She stated:
Moon was on top of everything at every moment. I felt that he has my sister's back. When I left, my family who was there reported that Moon updated them constantly, explaining everything that was going on, answering all questions; we were never a burden. Moon was so respectful. Moon went out of his way to make us ok. When Moon saw me sitting with my sister and reading to her, he went to get me a bottle of water. Moon took care of her with love.
***
Moon is the embodiment of professionalism. He practices with the highest of standards. When he is here, he wants the sickest patient and will not break until everything is done. He follows all rules and policies. He is a team player, always willing to teach, lend a hand, get into a solution when things are bad here. He never balks at an admission or directive yet will speak up if he is concerned. He speaks respectfully and is just one of those nurses who you want on your team, in your corner and caring for your loved one, want as a friend.
***
We had a very sick critical patient, Moon was her nurse, and despite all the emergency procedures, meds, and medical codes, he was an exemplary team player. Not only am I impressed with his compassionate care and empathy for this patient, but his teamwork also shone through. He is a very hard and competent worker and consistently goes over and above for his patient's care.
