When I came to Denver Health, I was scared, nervous, and uncomfortable. La Vaughn showed me how much she truly cares about her patients. She took the time to get to know me and my personal needs. She made the extra effort to help me feel comfortable and actually helped pull me out of my shell. She was knowledgeable and was able to answer all of my questions. La Vaughn took a potentially rough and scary experience and made it into an experience I will remember as a positive one. I truly felt loved and cared for. She deserves to get the DAISY Award; she is an amazing nurse.
