Lacey has gone above and beyond with her level of personal care and her high-quality level of care overall. Her knowledge of health issues, as well as all of the high-level equipment in an ICU room, and the ease with which she dealt with everything was second to none - and believe me - I have spent a lot of time in hospitals!

She is able to anticipate medical problems that may arise and help alleviate them or prepare me for what is happening before they even occur. The way she always felt at ease in any situation made me feel more at ease. Lacey had a very personal level of care. She knew I liked hot tea, so occasionally she would make me a cup and bring it to me, saying I looked like I could use it. She even came to see me when I was transferred to the CVU unit to check and see how I was doing.

After I went to the rehabilitation unit, I had a problem with my breathing, and the doctor had me moved back to the ICU. I was transferred to a bed, and when I looked up, I felt such relief seeing Lacey’s face waiting for me. She was one of the nurses who took a big role in acting quickly to turn things around for me, improving my vitals, and keeping me from having to be put on a ventilator. She also kept my wife informed and comforted, and made sure we were both comfortable and taken care of before leaving for the night.

The next morning, there she came, smiling and ready to take care of me another day. I was so relieved to know that I would be so well taken care of after such a scary situation the night before. Lacey demonstrated above-and-beyond nursing abilities and personal care. She has been much more than a nurse to my wife and me, and she has made a huge difference in my long hospital stay.
