I have been working with Lacey Friis in the ER for about one year and I have also been her nursing student in the ICU. She is the kindest and most selfless person I have ever had the privilege of meeting. She never fails to make everyone's day with her positive and bubbly personality. I know I can always count on her to have my back and any other staff member she encounters.
Last night the ER was chaotic, per the usual, and I was drowning in my tech duties. After transferring 5 patients upstairs, one after the other, I came back to a clean ER and Lacey asking if there is anything else she can do for me to catch up. In the ER and during my clinical rotation in the ICU, she has always taken the time to stop and teach me. Lacey is a perfect example of a team player. She may have 6 patients with a long to do list but will still be willing to lend a helping hand to anybody. She is by far one of the smartest people I have ever met, and she still blows me away with the clinical and educational skills that she provides.
Lacey is also bounding with compassion that she so willing gives to her patients and co-workers. I strongly believe that Lacey deserves this DAISY Award. She honestly deserves a million of them but no matter how many she receives they will never be able to express just how great of a nurse Lacey is. I know for a fact that every person who has ever encountered Lacey will undoubtedly agree with these statements. Please recognize this extraordinary nurse for her teamwork, positive personality clinical skills, compassion, and dedication to an excellent patient experience for every patient.
