Although a relatively new graduate from nursing school, Lacey exemplifies compassion when caring for our Emergency Department patients. A recent patient submitted the following recognition,
"Lacey expressed a genuine concern for my mother and stayed by her side until she (and I) were feeling much better. Lacey explained each step of care my mother received which eased our fears and concerns. Lacey was very attentive to my mom's needs and at all times was professional, thoughtful and courteous. Lacey is a great asset for IU West!!! If I ever need care at IU West I hope Lacey will be my Emergency Room Healthcare Provider! She's excellent!!!!"
We were excited to bestow the DAISY Award to Lacey as part of our Nurses Week celebrations. Her colleagues from our ED team enjoyed her celebration.
