Lacey Hosley, ASN, RN

Lacey is hard-working and dedicated. She has been a great addition to the Asthma clinic and Specialty Clinics in general and is a hoot to be around. She is proactive and doesn’t hesitate to step in and assist her co-workers to ensure patients receive the best care possible.

Every fourth Thursday, we have a combined Sickle Cell/Pulmonology clinic. While the Sickle Cell clinical team is responsible for throughput in this clinic, there are times when Pulm/Asthma clinical support is needed to ensure the patient's needs are met. Needless to say, there are lots of moving parts, and effective communication amongst the team is crucial to maintaining clinic throughput.

Recently, there was a Sickle/Pulm clinic where there was an unanticipated staffing change, and Lacey jumped right in to assist. She learned the Sickle/Pulm flow quickly and identified a communication strategy to help the entire team know which provider had seen the patient and which provider still needed to go in. In the midst of this busy clinic day, she also assisted in cleaning rooms, ensuring clinic throughput was maintained. All her efforts contributed to the clinic running smoothly and improved clinic communication among the team.

Although Lacey is one of the newest members of the team, it’s difficult to remember what it was like before her arrival. She has become an integral team member, whether that be in the clinic or working as our Pathway Champion. She has shown she is willing and does do everything possible to make anything possible for the kids we serve. We love and appreciate her being here with us!
