October 2019 Honoree
lacey mcclure, BSN, RN, CCRN, CEN
I am a BSN student here for my critical care clinical rotation and was assigned to Lacey as my preceptor for the day. From the start, Lacey was very friendly and happily answered all of my questions without frustration (there were many questions! Lacey's knowledge of a passion for nursing is extremely evident). Lacey allowed me to practice many skills without becoming annoyed with the extra time it took, as I have experienced with many other preceptors. She happily guided me through the skills and procedures with which I had little experience.
Lacey's communication with patients, patient's family members, other nurses, physicians, other members of the care team, and myself, was impressive. I am in my senior year and have had many clinical experiences at this point, but I can truly say this experience with Lacey has been the most rewarding, and the one in which I gained the most knowledge. I really feel more prepared to be a great nurse after today's rotation.

Thank you, Lacey, for your exceptional compassion, advocacy, and dedication to your patients. You truly make a difference.
