When there is an issue with a patient being combative and trying to get out of bed, Lacey knows how to handle the situation calmly.
Lacey had started as a Nurse Intern when I started 4 years ago as a CNA. I have watched this Nurse become the absolute most caring, smart, kind, and knowledgeable Nurse. Working alongside this Nurse is enjoyable. This Nurse is willing to help fellow nurses and help the CNAs as well. This Nurse's attitude is always the best with staff and patients. They take time to explain things to the patients and family members even though she is busy. I have watched this Nurse give phenomenal care to a patient who was near the end of his life. Lacey was in that patient’s room alongside me also doing mouth care, repositioning, bathing, suctioning, and also checking on this patient’s wife. The Nurse would talk to this wife and comfort her as she was crying, explaining certain things to her about the end-of-life stages.
This Nurse is so kind to everyone! When there is an issue with a patient being combative and trying to get out of bed, this Nurse knows how to handle the situation calmly. This Nurse tries to de-escalate the situation using her skills and does it very very well. I truly cannot say enough good things about this Nurse. I have watched this Nurse grow into an amazing nurse that I love working alongside with. This Nurse has become a wife and a mother in the 4 years of knowing her. This Nurse is amazing at what she does. This Nurse has become a very good friend to me in these 4 years. I have learned many things from this Nurse as I have only worked at nursing facilities in the past. I would be very sad if this Nurse ever left!
