August 2026 Honoree
Lacey Taylor, BSN, RN
Lacey Taylor greeted my mother with a generous smile as she shared with us who she was and what role she played in my mother's care plan. Knowing my mother had just lost my father shortly after celebrating their 70th anniversary, Lacey said (while holding my mother’s hand), “We will grieve together.” My mother was being very needy that day, and never once did Lacey give us the impression that she was rushed or tired – rather, she always stopped by to give comfort, to hold my mother’s hand, to hug her, and even teared up herself as my mother cried. Lacey was always reassuring and unbelievably attentive. I didn't know where you find such exceptional staff, but I was stunned.
Recently, my father (before passing) was at another hospital. Staff at Sauk Prairie Healthcare are in a league of their own, and we are entirely grateful for your love, care, wisdom, and expertise. Your campus grounds are beautiful, your food is 5-star superb, and well….. I cannot say Thank You enough. One last little caring miracle was that I was asking my mother to focus on pink fuzzy bunnies and butterflies during her walks. We were provided a blanket made by volunteers for comfort, and imagine this: it was pink, fuzzy, and covered with butterflies.
