Lacy has two children under the age of three. She works four 10 hour days. Recently, we had a very large ortho case to do. Lacy was very familiar with the case and spent time making a cheat sheet to help the other nurses. Even with the notes, no one was really comfortable doing the case. Lacy left her own children and worked the extra day to ensure that the best possible care would be given to the patient. She is also amazing with the children we see here. One of our doctors said that Lacy "gets kids". Now I know where we got that slogan, from seeing nurses like Lacy interact with the children here and knowing she is always putting patients first.
