Lael Elkind, RN

Lael was kind and compassionate from the first time we met her. She was calm yet funny, which helped to alleviate the stress we both were experiencing. She took the time to get to know us and shared her own experiences as well. We are both high school counselors who lean on empathy when working with our students, parents, and staff. Lael has this down. Her actions are genuine and real. You can tell she loves her job and the people she works with and for. 

After 25 years as a nurse, others might show signs of burnout—not Lael. She sails through her commitment to care with such ease; it's as if she were as excited as on her first day.

Thank you, Saint John’s, for pairing us up with her for this event we were dreading. She made it so much better.
