Laila Singh, is one of those nurses who has it all. She’s smart, professional, and quick to respond to any situation that needs her attention. In addition, Laila is fun to work with. She always remembers her coworkers’ birthdays and loves to be our “photographer” for special occasions. Her patients adore her because she takes a genuine interest in them while remaining respectful and compassionate.

Laila consistently goes the extra mile for Veterans. She often stays late to make sure she does not leave work unfinished. Such work includes calling Veterans for appointments, working on assigned projects, and making sure the clinic is ready for the next day. If there are improvements needed to better serve the Veterans, Laila often takes the initiative to implement changes.

Due to her combination of experience, work ethic, and demeanor, I can’t imagine a more deserving nurse for the DAISY Award than Laila.
