Lais offered my sister compassion, love, friendship, and exceptional nursing care. Even when she wasn't her assigned nurse, she would stop by to visit on what I know were very busy days. Lais had many wonderful ways and suggestions to make her more comfortable. Lais was there to "welcome" her back on her second visit. Although Lais wasn't her nurse the day we took her home with Hospice, she came to place her foley and see her off to home with a hug. The hospital is so lucky to have her and so is the world.

Lais went above and beyond with her patient and the family not only with medical needs, but emotional needs. She helped facilitate a much needed transfer to VCLA which was not moving quickly or smoothly due to the holiday. She coordinated everything so calmly and efficiently that we were never stressed under her care andcalm demeanor. We have never met anyone as caring as Lais.
