Lakshmi is a very dedicated nurse. It has been a hard year for me, and I have spent more time in the hospital than I have at home. I have had to endure a lot of emotional and mental pain as well. Lakshmi is a nurse who is able to sense this pain on complex levels. She is able to encourage her patients and tells me the right words to encourage me and my spirits. I had to stay in a side room, and whenever she came to see me, she ensured I had everything I needed and went above and beyond. When my room was not very clean, she could see my frustration when she heard about the incident, and she told me that she would make sure my voice was heard. I like to make sure things are clean, maybe excessively, and she would do her best to calm me down even when dealing with hard matters. She is a special nurse. Caring for others is more than medication only.
