Lana McCutchan, RN

I found/ find myself drawn to sitting beside Lana McCutchan, whether she is assigned as my nurse or not. Her compassion and openness allow for conversation to flow freely, enabling me to voice and articulate important and difficult feelings while feeling happy to be beside a gracious soul who responds to my woes in a way that makes me cherish the dignity with which she responds to my current state.

I find myself opening up to her with attitudes and states of being across the spectrum and am sincerely thankful for her manner and responsiveness.

I know that my experiences in this hospital MH Unit A (this time and 8 years ago) have been bolstered by Lana's amazing ability to avoid stigmatizing mental health which has enabled me to work through my mental health and behavioral health issues with confidence and heartfelt appreciation for my unique struggle and the cards that life has and continues to deal to myself personally- as an individual, a mother, spouse and part of my intimate and wider family. I feel blessed to have such considerate care when I needed it most.

Thank you, Lana, for your companionship, sweet tenderness, say it like it is attitude, and astute nursing capacity (ies) and capabilities.
