Lana Scully, RN

The patient was sleeping and did not want to get out of bed. She was also not eating. Lana reported to the family the patient's current medical status and frequently checked on the patient to see if certain results had returned. Lana not only watched and responded, but she also showed attention to the patient's and family's concerns throughout the shift. She provided updates and shared similarities with her own experiences that made the family feel at ease. Lana was able to administer treatment quickly and remained encouraging throughout the shift. The patient became energized as the shift progressed and wanted to thank Lana, RN, for that. Lana provided exceptional care, and the patients want to say THANK YOU. She is an Extraordinary Nurse because she provides both the patient and their family with extraordinary care.
