Lana was nominated for touching the heart of a saddened patient by literally giving the shirt off her back. Her patient had just lost his wife to breast cancer and felt all hope was lost until he met Lana.
"I nominate Lana for her sincere attitude and genuine gesture in giving her patient hope and her very own Fresno State sweatshirt off her back after he admired it while she was wearing it. This kind gesture made the patient smile from ear to ear. I looked at the hood of the sweatshirt Lana gave him and she drew a 'Heart Lana' - I thought that was extra special."
