He is very effective and compassionate and fosters a comforting atmosphere towards his patients.
Lance is a compassionate, hardworking and a very caring RN. He is very attentive towards all his patients and their family. He always listens, doesn’t judge, and makes sure there is a solution to any problem the patient has. This person becomes the patient advocate when needed to be one. Lance makes sure that all patients are well taken care of from the start of the shift to the end. He also makes sure that the next nurse will give the same level of care to the patients. Lance is a friend not only to his co-workers but also to his patients and families. He is their advocate for healing. Lance makes sure to go and see his patients even once they have transferred to another floor. Patients have loved him so much that their day isn’t complete without seeing their special nurse. Even during difficult days, this nurse will make sure that the patient will have a laugh just by doing what they do best: being a diva and cracking some jokes so that the patient has a better day. When Lance is at work, there are always some stories being told that give the entire staff a reason to be happy. He is very effective and compassionate and fosters a comforting atmosphere towards his patients. When needed to fill in as relief charge, he makes sure the team will give great care that the patient’s needs. He always leads by example and is an example of what teamwork is. He doesn’t hesitate to jump in and is always willing to help everyone. Lance has an excellent rapport with doctors and makes great efforts to ensure that every team member feels appreciated. He is also serious and committed to many hospital committees. Lance is our representative to hospital Exemplary Profession Practice council and a co-chairperson of our Unit Practice Council. He also assisted with initiating to have unit employee of the month. Our unit is a better place with him there!
