In 2024, Reese has taken this education to the next level and is providing local RN education in a classroom format – the passion and excitement she has around helping her fellow RNs provide the best care is extraordinary.
I met Reese 11 years ago when she was a new nurse. Ever since that day, she has strived to be the best, know the most, and support others in her journey. Reese goes above and beyond to help her patients and her team, supporting them on the floor when they need help, working her own floor to support her neighbors and sometimes even going to work other clinics' floors to make sure patients receive the best care. In 2023, Reese would travel around the city helping train newer RNs and clinical coordinators on all the extra things they need to know that aren’t included in the basic training of RNs – how to manage metrics, what to do with fluid, how to navigate CWOW, labs and anything else RN related to support our teams. In 2024, Reese has taken this education to the next level and is providing local RN education in a classroom format – the passion and excitement she has around helping her fellow RNs provide the best care is extraordinary.
Reese took a large complex clinic and not only turned the entire team around, but she improved their clinical metrics into the top 20% of DaVita. On top of this, she then picked up a second clinic on an interim basis while a new FA was trained, and you would have never known she wasn’t their permanent FA. She worked side by side with the team there to provide excellent care for the patients and support for the team. When a fellow FA recently reached out to a physician to ask him about a patient question, and provided Reese’s feedback – he said, “if Reese said it’s ok, let’s go with it – she always knows what to do”. Reese’s nickname could easily be “SUPER NURSE” – she is truly an exceptional nurse who wears many hats and gets everything done in a really impactful way.
