I was visiting from upstate New York when I was struck with a very painful relapse of a liver/stomach condition I have suffered from for many years. My family drove me to Mercy late in the evening. My pain level was over 9. LaRessa was working in the ED and took charge of my case immediately. I was astonished by how quickly things were happening. I was accustomed to doing a lot of waiting; but not that night at Mercy. My severe pain was stopped, things happened very rapidly and I found myself admitted and comfortably resting in my room. All of this was with compassion, a truly happy heart with authentic caring. I could feel the love. LaRessa worked so effortlessly that I believe all her concentration was focused on her professionalism. I am so grateful for this experience at Mercy.
