After a recent surgery, I developed an abscess and had to go to the infusion center for antibiotics for 30 straight days. At the beginning of my treatment, I was extremely weak and moody. I know I wasn’t the best patient. Lari treated me like a daughter through the whole process. She took care of me and always saw my needs even when I didn’t vocalize them. Through the weeks, we became friends and always joked on Fridays when our rival football teams were playing. She always made sure to have my favorite snacks in the infusion center. While I’m happy my treatments have ended, I am going to miss seeing my new friend every day.
