In addition to her nursing duties, Larissa treated me like family. She made calls to my wife and daughter with updates on labs and test results. She went out of her way to comfort and reassure me going into the Cath Lab, making a terrified old man feel like it was going to be okay. Larissa had also been the preceptor for my night nurse, and it was apparent that she had not only passed on technical knowledge but her care, values, and ethics to that nurse.
