Larissa Guevara, MSN, RN, CCRN

Larissa Guevara is our ICU Nurse Educator. For our newer nurses that have started in ICU Larissa created an amazing ICU specialty day for them creating mock patient scenarios that involved multiple departments with true interactive learning and had them play it out, which included running to blood bank to pick up emergency “blood” to transfuse through a Belmont rapid infuser, taking the “patient” to ct scan and practice transferring them from bed to scanner. She had them run through a mock code and run to find supplies that were missing. She let them do this in an empty ICU room and used all the equipment that we normally use to help them feel confident with where things were found and she also involved blood bank and radiology departments to let them see how to interact with them to save our critical patients. This is just one of the examples of the things she does to help us be the best we can be. She works really hard to always set us up for success and goes above and beyond to make it fun and memorable.
