It was early in the AM as Larkin was escorting me to an exam (Past doing, part of the usual nursing functions) when we were suddenly faced with an extremely unruly, disrespectful male (who was accompanied by armed guards). Obviously not concerned about her own safety, Larkin expediently and protectively shielded me from the individual. Although my neck was throbbing with pain, I was more overcome with a medicinal in and of itself. In fact, my being upset prompted me to state my appreciation to the exam doctor before she started to query me.

Note: It has long been my contention that no one should be disrespectful to medical personnel who are furnishing their expertise in a worthwhile manner.
