Lars Heine, RN

It is with great gratitude and deep appreciation that we nominate Lars Heine for the DAISY Award. During my father’s stay on the ward following his bypass surgery, we had the privilege of experiencing Mr. Heine as an exceptional nurse. During a very stressful and uncertain time for our family, he was a vital source of support—not only professionally but, above all, as a person. He always treated my father with great empathy, calmness, and respect. With great patience, he took the time to explain procedures in an easy-to-understand way, alleviating fears and building trust. His caring manner gave my father a sense of security and comfort that was invaluable in this situation. For us as family members, Mr. Heine was always approachable, attentive, and understanding. He always had an open ear and made us feel that we were taken seriously and in good hands. Lars Heine stands for excellent care with heart—and that is exactly why he deserves this special recognition.
