My baby was in the NICU, and I don’t think we could have had a better nurse for her. She explained things clearly, took protocol seriously, was loving and gentle, and was so amazingly supportive. She gave our baby her first sponge bath and was so gentle with her hair to remove all the goo. Lauren showed us techniques for how to do everything. Our small, delicate baby seemed fragile, but Lauren showed us how to hold her, feed her, change her, and so much more. She was always so friendly and happy to give us an update.

Lauren also really looked after us as a family, and when I exited from post-partum and was not feeling great, she had great suggestions to get me the care I needed so I could care for my baby. I am writing this more than six months later but I wanted to come back to nominate her for this award because I still remember how important she was in my baby’s first week of life. Lauren positively impacted all of us as a family and should absolutely be recognized for how great she is at what she does. Any baby and family would be lucky to have her care.
