Our charge nurse has been out for over a month and Lashaundra has stepped into the role and done an excellent job. She is fair, an excellent resource and always willing to help. As a seasoned RN, it is refreshing to see this in a young nurse. Lashandra also always goes above and beyond for the patients and their families. If they are admitted to the hospital she always goes to visit them and will scourer the hospital for food or equipment the patient may need. Her efforts are not just limited to the patients. She is as attentive to their families as well. She is an excellent communicator and educator keeping patients and families informed and educated. Often patients and family members are complimentary and will ask for her if they have to call the unit.
