LaShell's compassion is like no other. She takes her time and precepts every new nurse in our department. From day one of orientation to the last day she is right by your side giving continuous guidance and encouragement. Integrity is something you must have to be the Chair of our UBC. No matter what the concern is we feel comfortable bringing them to her and satisfied in knowing that our concern will be handled without being judged. She encompasses respect for herself and the care she provides to the youth we serve. This respect reflects in her day to day work. LaShell is able to work alongside everyone and collaborate in an effort to ensure that nothing but the best is provided to our youth.
LaShell has taken on the role as Unit Based Council Chair Person she was the only nurse in our area who was brave enough to accept such a position. She also shows leadership in her ability to assist the manager with issues within the area and she is able to help build and mend professional relationships within our team.
Excellence would be a fitting word to describe LaShell's work ethic and her eagerness to excel in her profession. She has proven to be responsible in overseeing and protecting the integrity of the care we provide in a not so appealing field in nursing, she encourages us as her coworkers to see the worth in the care we provide. She herself made the decision to stay and continue to provide care for this population even after obtaining her RN license.
