T and I have been married 57 years and T's illness has been physically and emotionally draining on both of us. When he was admitted to Encompass, we were so nervous and worried, but our fears were calmed, and we could finally relax and sleep at night knowing the excellent care T was receiving and one nurse in particular stood out: Latedra. She was so professional and knowledgeable. Her nursing skills are the best we have seen, and we have seen a lot in our almost 80 years of life. Latedra can relate so well to our concerns and gave us answers before we even asked. Her patience is amazing, and she explained everything in great detail. She was very gently and caring with T and also encouraging. Her connection to the family (me) and the patient (T) was like a friend. We both felt the love she has for the people and her job. Latedra is an extraordinary nurse. We were afraid of the catheter T had to go home with. Latedra carefully explained exactly how to care for it without humiliating my shy husband. We left Encompass with no questions unanswered and feeling confident. Thank you to Latedra and Encompass is very lucky to have her as a nurse.
