I feel incredibly prepared to further my student nursing career because of Latha's guidance.
Latha genuinely wants everyone in clinical to improve every week and to succeed. She provides excellent feedback weekly and makes time to meet with you if there is anything that needs improvement. She clearly likes her job and enjoys teaching students.

Latha goes above and beyond for her nursing students. She is always prepared and on time for every clinical, even going as far as coming in over an hour early to find our patient assignments that correlate with what we are learning in lecture. She takes the time to pull each of us aside if she senses we are struggling with something in paperwork or in skills. She also is always on the lookout for skills that we can perform, and helps us review what we need to do before going in the do them.
I placed a catheter during this clinical with her and she reassured me the entire time knowing I was nervous, and even when I was close to error she gently redirected me. She is always very thorough and quick with our feedback for our care plans. Latha also makes her own group assignments outside of the course required documents to further our understanding and review material before exams. She never fails to be encouraging and tries her best to raise our confidence. Even when faced with adversities from students, she remains calm and professional. I feel incredibly prepared to further my student nursing career because of her guidance.

Latha cares a lot about her clinical students. One of her priorities involves ensuring each student has an opportunity to perform all the skills we learned in the simulation lab. She challenges you during clinical and asks questions to ensure the student's understanding of why we are administering a medication or intervention. Very involved clinical instructor and I appreciate her assertiveness. One of the best clinical rotations I ever had thanks to Latha.

Latha is always pushing me to do my best and become better at performing skills. She is kind, compassionate, and always ready to give constructive feedback. This is why I think she deserves this award.

I have had the privilege of having Latha as my clinical instructor for NURS 230. She is always there for everyone in our clinical group and encourages us to take the initiative and practice our skills. She really wants us to be the best nurses possible. She makes sure we are doing everything correctly to ensure the safety of our patients and ourselves. She is very passionate about her career and it shows. Latha has my highest recommendation for the DAISY Award.
