From the moment I entered the unit, I greatly appreciated Latonya Slaughter’s warm smile and sweet disposition! Instantly, it put me at ease knowing I would receive excellent care. I felt safe in an unknown environment, and my health was unexpectedly at my all-time worst. Daily interactions with her calm yet funny personality were a constant that always gave me the strength to heal. There is a saying posted on the unit: "Be the person you want to work with." I believe God takes care of you through total strangers. I believe despite the fact that we had never met before, her spirit was like family. Thank you for sharing her with us (my family). She gives her all with her heart and her ability to serve people.
