I want Latoria and Adrienne to know that their hard work, dedication, commitment, and compassion do not go unrecognized.
I would like to thank my nurses: Latoria Calais and Adrienne Lebean from the Oncology Unit. I became ill unexpectedly and I was hospitalized at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital. My faith, strength, and belief in God are very strong. I faced an unexpected illness where I had to be revived, and I was placed in a medically induced coma for a couple of weeks. As I woke from this coma, I found myself to be paralyzed and had to go through physical therapy in order to walk again and use my arms. I stayed in Intensive Care unit for a few weeks. Upon my recovery and coming through I was sent to the fifth floor.
Upon my stay on the fifth floor, I met many nice employees, but I met two who I really felt were my guardian angels, sent from God to help me in a very special way. These remarkable ladies are Ms. Latoria Calais and Ms. Adrienne Lebean. I have never experienced the amount of care and love before as a patient in a hospital. Every time they worked they went far and beyond to meet my medical needs, and they inspired me and encouraged me at my weakest point that I would get better and they motivated me to strive to do better for myself. They treated me with such respect and compassion, that even though my stay was hard, they made me feel so much better inside and out. They encouraged me to receive therapy and their words will always continue to live within me and I am now back at work. I will forever be grateful to both of them, and I am thankful that God sent them as my nurses. I feel that it is because of God and them that I am still alive and I am able to share this testimony. I want Latoria and Adrienne to know that their hard work, dedication, commitment, and compassion do not go unrecognized. It is nurses like this that will take healthcare to the level of excellence that it needs to be.
In closing, I am forever grateful to Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital for instilling in their employees excellent work ethics. With nurses like these two ladies, health care is taken to another level. God Bless.
