My nurse advocated for me! I had a broken nose and large hematoma on my head and the only pain med that was ordered was Tylenol. (I also have an arachnoid cyst and shunt). She continued to ask and got stronger pain meds for me so I could be comfortable. It took hours, but she finally did it!! She made sure I was comfortable. She brought me an ice bag, which helped.
She was excellent in her persistence to get me comfortable. She was compassionate in her ability to understand my frustration and pain. She gave me my dignity as a human being and understood how I felt neglected. She brought justice to me.
She was/is the best nurse I have had in years! She is caring and compassionate. I want her to be my nurse all the time. Quick and efficient, caring and concerned about me.
Thank you for giving me the best nurse you have. I have dignity even with my broken nose and hematoma on my face. I can be proud of being taken care of and hold my head high. Justice was served. She valued me as a patient, not just another person to take care of. She cared about me as a human.
