November 2015 Honoree
latrinia payne, RN
She is just an incredibly sweet and caring person. Having nothing to do with the sweet care of my Mother, she blessed my life incredibly. After a long day with my Mother in the ICU and ER, I had not eaten anything so I decided to go to Subway later that evening. I noticed a young woman in scrubs and a Baptist badge. I asked if she had just completed her shift and she said yes. I told her I had just left Baptist after a long rough day with my Mom in the ER and then ICU. I had not eaten all day. She expressed her wishes for my Mother to get well soon and also stated her prayers would be said for her as well. As I approached the checkout register to pay they said she had paid for my sub already! I told her she did not have to do this and she explained that she knows I had a rough day and wanted to do this for me. I broke down! I couldn't believe this great act of kindness. She had nothing to do with my Mother's care yet she managed to impact my life in such a great way. I am so thankful. You have an amazing staff - especially Latrinia Payne.
Thank you, Latrinia, for your exceptional compassion, advocacy, and dedication to your patients. You truly make a difference.
