Laura started working as an adjunct faculty nurse this past semester. She actually stepped up not once but twice when the program needed an instructor right away. Laura has a group of students from Gwinnett Tech on Thursday mornings and Thursday afternoons.

Laura works very closely with the nursing professors at Gwinnett Tech to ensure the needs of the nursing students are met. I have had the pleasure of seeing Laura interact with her nursing students and you can tell they admire her and soak up every last word that she tells them. Laura has a keen eye for identifying moments of opportunities which nursing students can learn from. Laura is extremely dedicated and invests so much of her time in helping these nursing students thrive. She continues to play a vital role in growing and developing new nurses and recruiting new talent for Northside.

In addition to being an adjunct faculty member, Laura recently was promoted to a clinical supervisor. If we are short-staffed or someone calls out last minute, she will come in to help at the drop of a dime. Laura also works as a Nurse Practitioner. She radiates compassion, devotion, and love for the nursing profession in so many ways. Laura continues to be an outstanding role model to so many people throughout the entire hospital system and I look forward to learning from her as well.
