As soon as I walked into the FBP, I saw Laura and I knew I would be in good hands. Laura was with me almost every day when my younger daughter was in the special care nursery in 2017. At that time, she was a caretaker and advocate for both my daughter and I and she was there when I delivered my next baby in September of 2019. The day after I delivered, I received the devastating news that my mom had suffered cardiac arrest and likely would not survive. I was alone, but Laura rushed to be at my side, took care of my infant, and stayed with me until my husband arrived. She let me cry and talk and just listened with empathy. My mom was 200 hundred plus miles away, so Laura offered anything she could including trying for an early discharge. Several days after discharge she messaged me to check-in. When my mom passed away, she offered condolences. I already knew I would never forget her after our previous stay, but now I know that I will forever have a friend. When I needed more than just physical healing, Laura revealed God's healing presence in a way I've never experienced before.
