January 2025 Honoree
Laura Czajkowski, BSN, RN
Laura is a role model for maintaining calm in a storm. We recently had an unfortunate patient whose condition deteriorated throughout an overnight shift. As crucial events occurred, Laura was tuned in and engaged as others arrived.
*The patient's SpO2 was crashing?!
Laura was already there, with Ambu-bag in hand.
*Patient was about to code?!
Laura was already there, helping move the bed, and was first on the chest.
*The patient was about to code again hours later?!
Laura already had a computer at the doorway with the patient's chart pulled up and was ready to record events.
Never rattled, she lent and helped maintain a cool, collected air to what could otherwise be a chaotic situation. If you find yourself in a foxhole, you'd be hard pressed to find a better ally than Laura--lucky for you, she is probably already there with you!

Thank you, Laura, for your exceptional compassion, advocacy, and dedication to your patients. You truly make a difference.
