Laura is an amazing charge nurse. For many years, we've had the honor and privilege to work beside her. From Laura, I've learned so very much. How to triage nursing situation, prepare for unexpected emergencies, delegate responsibilities and ask the nurses to help out as a team, while remaining calm and treating staff and patients with much respect and calmness. Her experience and reactions to emergent situations are unrivaled and she jumps in quickly to help out.
There was an incident that if not for Laura's expertise and advocacy for the mom and baby despite the primary's initial discharge request and parent demand to go home, this baby would not have survived.
