Laura has been with Parkview for around 5 years. After my surgery, which was more invasive than originally expected, she went above and beyond to make sure that I left with all the necessary care and information that I needed. Sure, this is what all of the nurses in the post-surgical recovery area are supposed to do, but I want to make known the difference in the way she works.

Laura has a natural bedside manner. She is comforting and caring. It is obvious that she does the job she does because she loves to do it. She is an asset to Parkview. I believe that bedside manner can be taught to a certain extent, but must be born from a natural desire to care for each patient as if they were family. She does that. Laura is patient. She answered all of my questions and did not seem to be annoyed or in a rush to move along without informing me of everything I needed to know. She diligently cared for me during my post-operation recovery.

Laura exhibits a professional demeanor during even the most uncomfortable of situations. For things that would normally be embarrassing, I did not feel like I was being judged. I felt that she handled these situations with confidence, and I left with a feeling of dignity.
