While I was assigned to inventory the medical equipment in the ER, I observed the fast pace of the patient flow in the department. Patient moods were on edge due to their illnesses. Staff were performing their duties as fast as possible to maintain patient flow. However, due to a shortage of staff, operations were very hectic. Laura was taking it all in stride. She displayed a great attitude. She was multi-tasking, yet still made time to comfort patients. She didn't allow the workload to sour her demeanor, which helped her fellow workers cope with the hectic environment. Her work ethic is superior and noteworthy.
