Laura is special because she was my consistent shoulder to lean on during my initial leukemia diagnosis. Laura went above and beyond with me to remember so many details about me and my family and making me feel as if I had a genuine friend during my stay. Always willing to explain, re-explain, and reassure, she was the peace of mind that pulled me through the hardest times. What I was given by Laura, and all the nurses on 7D, were tools I needed to survive this journey, from people who had seen it again and again. I have never felt cared for so much at a time I needed it most. I believe Laura saved my life. Without her, I may not have been so optimistic, which helped me heal so much. Laura is an incredible nurse. I celebrate her every time I hit a new milestone, know I could not have made it smiling through, without her!
